Why skydiving is the back to school essential you shouldn’t go without
It’s that time of the year again. School is just around the corner, or maybe you’ve already started. Either way, summer is in the rearview mirror and school is about to be back into full swing. Making the transition from an awesome summer vacation can be rough, so we recommend a skydive, of course! No matter where you live, there’s a dropzone (or multiple) within a short driving distance.
Freefall will get rid of the dreaded “back to school” blues.
So you had an amazing summer and don’t want it to end. Just the thought of heading back to the classroom makes you cringe. Sound familiar? We get it. Our recommendation – jump out of an airplane. With adrenaline pumping through your body, you’ll be re-motivated and ready to take on the world… and that feeling will last for days, weeks, and sometimes months after your skydive!
Shift your focus for a minute.
Back to school comes with many “to-dos” – picking classes, buying books, figuring out your major (again), buying more books, meeting with advisors… and the list goes on. The tasks are piling up, and it’s kind of stressful and annoying. Need a break? We can’t give you another summer vacation, but can give you advice to jump out of a perfectly good airplane. It will free your mind and allow you to INSTANTLY de-stress. With a standard 13,000 foot skydive, you get one minute of freefall. That one minute will allow you to hit reset to refresh and rejuvenate your mind (and that doesn’t even count the pre-jump excitement, plane ride, or time under the parachute)!
If you’re worried about cost, there are plenty of options.
Skydiving costs can add up, but you have control over how much money you want to save. Typically, you can find lower cost options by jumping from a lower altitude. Also, opting for only pictures or only video instead of both will also save you a few bucks. Many dropzones also offer specials this time of year, so definitely call and ask for any current promotions! At Skydive Santa Barbara, we offer 3 different altitudes depending on your budget.
