How Safe is it to Skydive?
All jumpmasters are U.S.P.A. rated; all aircraft and pilots are F.A.A. certified. We will not take you in the aircraft unless you and the jumpmaster are completely satisfied. All rigs have automatic activation devices and in addition, we have a soft sand riverbed to land in. Any statistics can be obtained from WWW.USPA.ORG or call 1-800-371-USPA (8772).
What is physically required to make a Skydive?
Good physical health is always a plus in any sport. You cannot jump within 48 hours of Scuba diving or within 24 hours after giving blood. If you are taking prescription drugs for an illness, you are required to have a doctors certificate stating that no adverse effects will result from making a parachute jump. Over the years, we have introduced Tandem Jumping to paraplegics, quadriplegics and one of our instructors taught a blind person! We have had people over 80 years old. So bring your grandmother along, she might end up jumping too!
You must be at least 18 years old. There are special restrictions if you weigh more than 200 pounds.
Sudden Drop Myth?
As you exit, a cushion of air created by the forward speed of the aircraft, supports your body as you accelerate to terminal velocity! There is no sudden drop feeling associated with freefall. It's more like a floating sensation as you have no other objects to relate to except blue sky.
Do I need to make a Reservation?
We require a $50 non-refundable deposit per person to make a reservation, walk-ins are accepted only if we have space available. We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express cards and Cash, sorry no checks. Deposits may be paid by check as long as we receive it two weeks prior to your appointment date. We are open 7 days a week, weekends being the busiest.
What should I wear?
Loose fitting clothes and athletic shoes are ideal. Dress for the weather on the ground. We supply everything else for your skydive.
How much time should I expect to spend?
Prepare to stay for half a day for your Tandem Jump.
After the jump?
You will receive a certificate signed by your jumpmaster. After watching your DVD and reliving the thrill of your first skydive, drive home carefully. The feeling of excitement will last for hours, if not for days.
